"When Thine Eyes Are Most At Rest"
When thine eyes are most at rest
do they resound most fully across
the planks of my heart.
Blue eyes attempt to politely mingle
with the clouds
While green ones slyly deceive that they
have some affinity with our breath
Lest not forget still older brown ones
asserting their place among earth and beans
Whose spicing lingers far beyond
their beauty warrants.
'Tis true that when thine eyes are most at rest
do they resound most fully across
the planks of my heart.
