"Choose Me, Faire Ladye"
Put aside
for the moment
My obvious qualities
that would move a Ladye of thy distinction
to consider me a suitable suitor.
These being —
my charm
my humour
my worldly knowledge
my artistic daring
my service to our Kingdom
And most significantly,
my ability to anticipate thy every need
and provide a comfortable abode for thee
and our eventual progeny.
Lo, for what is most Noteworthy
and
dare I say,
Noble
in character
Is my sheer passion
and reverence for
Our Dear Planet!
The one that spins around the
Sun
like a lost orb
And blesses us all in
equal measure.
For who among thy circle of
friends
associates and
enemies alike
Can claim less than a pound of food
tossed aside in blind waste
at lunar year’s end?
A staggering claim to which any farmer
would attest.
Does this not speak to my skills and insights
that only the most evolved creatures possess
Who have roamed our glorious, fair planet
longer than men have sworn to record God’s Will?
To the likes of
what an alchemist possesses,
how a master chef intuits, or
why a priest bestows
The fruits of their caring?
What does this portend regarding my ability
to provide a suitable home for thee
and a thriving business for our heirs?
For this, Faire Ladye
you need only imagine . . .
